The opposition’s accusasions against society and authorities are unfounded, Chairman of the National Security Party, Garnik Isagulyan, said on Tuesday speaking about the local elections in Vanadzor city. “I think comments are needless as the opposition is to blame for their failure: they did not come to a definite agreement and violated the terms of agreement. The solution of these problems is hidden elsewhere. We may draw the following conclusion: the internal political life in Armenia is unpredictable and inscrutable at all stages of its development. It is difficult to say what might happen tomorrow.  There is a certain disbalance in the political life, and it needs to be resolved,” Isagulyan said. He says we have good authorities and bad opposition that cannot keep their votes. “There was no pressure in the elections.  If a person is coward we cannot consider him a normal person. Can you imagine what he might do if he goes to protect our borders from Azeris?  Should he fall into the hands of the Azeris, he will betray us.” Speaking about the possible return of Gagik Tsarukyan, the former head of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Mr. Isagulyan said, “I think no one has the reply to the question. There is not a definite decision either. We need people to bridge the authorities and the opposition and keep the balance between them, because the contradictions sometimes reach extremes.  The BHK assumed such a role once. Should Tasarukyan decide to return to politics and head his parry again, we shall again have a situation when he will maintain the balance between the opposition and authorities.” In reply to a journalist’s question whether he considers Gagik Tsarukyan to be a savior of the political arena, Mr. Isagulyan said, stretching out his hand, “We have a savior. Gagik Tsarukyan is not a savior, and no one is a savior. I just think he will be able to balance the field.”
