G. Yeghiazaryan: “Gagik Tsarukyan’s return is people’s demand” (video)
The Armenian authorities don’t hurry to transfer Armenians from Syria and accommodate them in Armenia. These activities imply great expenses for the Armenian state budget. According to Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, former Deputy Head of the NSS, first the means plundered from the state budget should be returned. “It’s enough to give instructions to the National Security Service; during several months those sums will be brought back. I say that USD 7-8 billion will be easily brought back in 2 months, as the sum of plunder is larger. It is enough to call the plunderers and tell that ‘you approximately plundered USD 2 billion, put USD 1 billion on the table, and they will put,” says Yeghiazaryan. During these days different posts appear on the Internet, by which Syrian Armenians ask to transfer them to Armenia. What does the state do? Why doesn’t the state take any measures? “Many people don’t want to come to Armenia. If the war continues even longer, they may be transferred from Syria. Those, who had turned to the Ministry of Diaspora, received aid,” adds the NA HHK lawmaker Lernik Aleksanyan. According to the information, 600 people expressed willingness to move to Armenia. Gurgen Yeghiazaryan also touched upon the local elections, “In Gyumri HHK lost, but in Vanadzor HHK won and Serzh Sargsyan won, how, you will soon learn.” He urges Gagik Tsarukyan, former leader of Prosperous Armenia Party, to return to politics, “If he was present and supported BHK, BHK wouldn’t be in such a situation in Vanadzor. Tsarukyan Gagik had better listen to the calls of the people. His return is people’s demand. He will return. If he returned earlier, the picture would be different in Vanadzor. I have nothing against Marukyan, but it isn’t the way that he could come at once and take the power.”
