We can talk about territories after referendum - lawmaker (video)

Talks about territorial concessions can continue only when the people of Karabakh are given an opportunity to hold a referendum and after the international community, first of all Azerbaijan, recognizes the results of the referendum, Armenian lawmaker Sukias Avetisyan said on September 14. “Only after that can we sit around the same negotiating table [with Azerbaijan] and discuss all other issues, including the fate of the disputable territories,” the Republican MP said commenting on the recent statement of U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick. He says all other talks are aimed at diverting public attention. “Today, the most important thing for us is the international recognition of Karabakh. Only if we see progress in this issue and Azerbaijan becomes the first to recognize Karabakh, can we speak about other issues," the lawmaker said.
