Karen Karapetyan appointed Armenia's PM
On September 13, Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree to appoint Karen Karapetyan Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. "Pursuant to Paragraph 4, Article 55 of the Armenian Constitution, I appoint Karen Karapetyan Prime Minister of Armenia," the decree states. The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) approved Karapetyan’s candidacy on September 8 following the resignation of Hovik Abrahamyan.
