Protest in Athens in solidarity with Sasna Dzrer group
A group of Armenians held a protest outside the Armenian Embassy in Athens in support for gunmen holding several hostages in a police station in Yerevan since July 17 as a sign of protest against arbitrariness and unlawfulness in Armenia. The action was held under the slogan of “I am also a terrorist” as its participants believe that the members of the Sasna Dzrer group are not terrorists but true devotees. The event was also attended by the newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to Greek Fadey Charchoglyan. The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of Colonel Artur Vanoyan, Deputy Commander of the Patrol Regiment of the Yerevan Police Department killed in the attack on the building on July 17, and handed a letter to the embassy staff asking them to send it to the Armenian leadership.
