We know who you are! Your father is a terrorist - policemen told Varujan Avetisyan's daughter (video)
Ani Avetisyan, the daughter of Varujan Avetisyan, one of the members of the armed group that seized a police building in Yerevan, told A1+ that the police used violence against her on July 18. The 20-year-old girl and her mother were detained by the police from Khorenatsi street. She says police officers swore her and her mother in a police car on the way to the Kentron Police Department. Later, already at the police unit, they hit the woman and her daughter saying, “We know who you are, your father is a terrorist.” For an hour, they were not allowed to see their lawyer who learnt about their whereabouts from Varujan’s wife during a telephone conversation. Ani says ‘everything is in the hands of people and people should dictate their will to the authorities.’ “We cannot change anything without people,” she said.
