SDHK: Attempt to solve issue with weapons leads to deadlock
The Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHK) expresses deep concerns over the events taking place in Yerevan. In a statement issued on Monday, the party expressed confidence that the attempt to solve the accumulated problems in the county with weapons will only lead to a dead end, deepening the existing situation and making it even more desperate. At the same time, the SDHK expresses its deep sorrow for the police officers who was killed on Sunday and urges the authorities and the armed people who attacked and seized a police station in Yerevan to solve the issue in a peaceful way in order to prevent new bloodshed. “Armenia once survived a military coup attempt and 17 years after it we still bear the consequences of the horrific crime,” the party said.
