Armenian, Russian Human Rights Defenders discuss maltreatment of Armenian citizens at Upper Lars
Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan had a telephone conversation with Human Rights Commissioner of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova, to discuss maltreatment of Armenian citizens who were on the Russian section of Upper Lars checkpoint as well as the problems created by the Russian Federal Migration Service for Armenian citizens. Arman Tatoyan called his Russian counterpart’s attention to the aforesaid issues and asked her to tackle the problem within the framework of her powers in order to exclude cases of maltreatment. The Armenian ombudsman also addressed an official letter to his Russian counterpart with the same request.
