Electricity tariffs downed by AMD 2.58 (video)
12.46 Electricity tariffs will be lowered for Armenian consumers by starting from August 1. In its June 24 session, the Public Services Regulatory Commission approved the measure to reduce the electricity prices by AMD 2.58. Thus, daytime tariff will be lowered by 5.3 percent (from AMD 48.78 to AMD 46.2) per 1 kWh for households and the nighttime rate will be downed by 6.7 percent (from AMD 38.78 to AMD 36.2 drams) per 1 kWh. Electricity tariffs went up by AMD 7 in 2015. 12.16 The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) is considering the proposal of lowering electricity tariffs for Armenian consumers by AMD 2.58. Accordingly, the daytime rate for households will be reduced from current 48.78 drams to 46.2 drams per one KWh, and the nighttime rate will be downed from 38.78 drams to 36.2 drams per kWh, said Gagik Baghramyan, Head of the Tariff Policy Department at the PSRC.
