The Alliance Party has issued a statement dismissing the reports about its possible merger with other political parties. “This is the last time we comment on reports about the party’s possible amalgamation with other political forces. Only in case that newly formed party is a true opposition force can we consider our consolidation on condition that that political party or parties are ready to accept the political course of the Alliance Party and unite around the Alliance for the simple reason that the Alliance is the largest extra-parliamentary force, which can be evidenced by the list of party members, our territorial structures, mass meetings, 60-member Board and the rating of the party’s leader. The same refers to our possible consolidation with parliamentary forces, specifically with opposition factions,” the party said in a statement. At the same time, the party says they know very well who stands behind the false reports. “We want to advise them to mind their own business and try to repair their damaged reputation instead of interfering in the affairs of other forces,” the party said in conclusion.
