The traces of hail in Tandzut community of Armavir marz can still be seen after 20 days. 76-year-old Herbert Grigoryan is showing cucumber beds. “I have used much electricity on it, I have bought peat, I have put a lot of effort to have income, but it isn’t enough even for the medicine,” says Herbert. Hail caused damage to all the families of the village. 80 percent of harvest has been damaged. According to the calculations of Herbert, he sustained damage worth AMD 2 million, yet, he had planned to repair the roof of his house with the income. But he isn’t much concerned about the damage, the most important thing is peace on the border, “I only want my grandson to return safe and sound.” His grandson, Arayik Grigoryan, is a soldier, who was distinguished by his courage during April war. On April 2, when serviceman Narek Malkhasyan shot down adversary’s Mi-24 helicopter, Arayik destroyed its staff. The grandfather is waiting for the demobilization of his grandson in a few days.
