Ruben Hakobyan: Small communities become trouble

The National Assembly continues discussing the package of amendments to the RA Law on Administrative Territorial Division and Local Self-Government. In his speech, lawmaker Ruben Hakobyan said it is a risky step which has strategic importance. “The Law on Local Self-Government was adopted shortly after the creation of the state. These small communities became and continue to remain trouble for local government from a purely political point of view. Small communities later turn into headquarters,” he stressed. The lawmaker says the consolidation of communities is a manifestation of egoism because the new head of the merged communities becomes evil. Anyway, he is going to vote for the bill.
