Ara Budaghyan has been released (video)
Ara Budaghyan has been released from Yerevan-Kentron penitentiary institution. The Prosecutor’s Office today issued a statement that on the basis of the absence of corpus delicti, he was acquitted, but for about 8 hours Ara Budaghyan continued to remain in custody, waiting for the decision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
On leaving the building, Ara Budaghyan was in a hurry and tried to leave without answering the questions. Though, in reply to the question by “A1+” whether he expected such a decision, he said that he had expected. In reply to the question whether he had any connection with shots in the direction of the vehicle of Syunik Governor, he noted that if he had any connection, he wouldn’t be set free.
To remind, on May 20, 2015, on Kapan-Goris road shots were fired in the direction of Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan’s vehicle.
