Vahan Shirkhanyan transferred to hospital: his health condition deteriorated
The health condition of former Deputy Defense Minister Vahan Shirkhanyan deteriorated. As his advocate Stepan Voskanyan told “A1+”, the day before he was taken to Avagyan medical center, underwent medical examination and was again transferred to isolation cell. “He had fever and irregular heartbeat. The results of the medical examination will be known in a few days. After detention he has always had fever, and his legs have been in a state of insensibility. The advocate reminds that the issue of Vahan Shirkhanyan’s health condition and that he should receive treatment at home under supervision has been always voiced at the courts. “Though, both the preliminary investigation body and the courts didn’t take into account those mediations and no investigative action was initiated during the second extension,” noted the advocate. To remind, Vahan Shirkhanyan was detained on December 19, 2015, on suspicion of aiding a criminal gang led by Artur Vardanyan.
