Karabakh: Situation relatively calm on Line of Contact
Military authorities in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) say the situation along the Line of Contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces was relatively calm last night. However, the ministry reports that on the night of May 18 Azerbaijan continued to violate the terms of the April 5 verbal agreement on ceasefire by using firearms of different calibers. The enemy also used 60mm mortars (3 shells) and hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher (2 shells) to fire in the northeastern (Martakert) directions. The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army remained committed to the ceasefire and continued to carry out their combat tasks.
