On May 16, the Armenian legislature discussed the draft Electoral Code. Lawmaker Heghine Bisharyan said she could not understand why the CEC Chairman should report to the president of the country who is also Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia [HHK]. “In that case, let us allow others to report to the leaders of their parties, let us have a multiparty commission. We have brilliant professionals sitting here, that is why we are in such a state. If they were not professionals, they would be unable to take 10 billion from the country.” Details in the video
