Yeghiazaryan-Gurgen

Republican lawmaker Ruzan Muradyan and political analyst Gurgen Yeghiazaryan today reacted to Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan’s call for fight against corruption, optimization of the costs of public administration and the need for more efficient governance Ruzan Muradyan says the premier’s statement is the continuation of Serzh Sargsyan’s announcement which he made on February 12, 2016. “Reduction of excess staff members and expenses, fight against corruption, etc… These programs did not start just yesterday; they are already under implementation. The prime minister suggested reviewing our priorities. Considering the will of the Armenian PM, we should implement these programs and begin changes from the government. Serzh Sargsyan did not possess a magic wand and he simply could not change everything in a moment,” she said. The Republican lawmaker advises everyone to be armed with patience and says we need time to see changes. “Corruption has existed for centuries, only its forms have changed,” she said. Gurgen Yeghiazaryan says he liked Hovik Abrahamyan’s statement. “In consider it a serious statement and at the same time nonsense in our modern history as everything is said overtly on the PM’s level. We know how things happen in our small Armenia. Now I urge Minister-Chief of the Government Staff of Armenia Davit Harutyunyan to conduct audits in the companies of Finance Minister Gagik Khachatryan enjoys monopoly on tires imported from Georgia, selling them more expensive in Armenia. I welcome this bold statement of the Prime Minister. Today, we have a monstrous foe in the face of the West. We should remember that Armenia cannot be compared with Rio or the Netherlands, where ministers go to work by bike. By the way, unlike many weeds in Armenia, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan was already rich a few years ago,” Mr Yeghiazaryan said. Asked how it happened that he started to praise the PM, the former head of the NSS said, “During the tenure of office of the previous premier, Tigran Sargsyan, I said that his successor would be much better than him. I think that Hovik Abrahamyan made a great step with his statement. Let the Republican Party of Armenia be on the alert: if the wound opens it will be purulent.”
