Ombudsman meets with UK Ambassador
On May 6 Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan received UK Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Judith Farnworth. Issues relating to the cooperation agenda and priorities between the Ombudsman’s Office and UK Embassy were discussed during the meeting, including a number of issues relating to the defense of rights of children and people with disabilities as well as sector of preventing ill-treatment. Ambassador Farnworth emphasized the role of the Ombudsman’s Office, and reassured that she will continue assisting the activities of the Ombudsman and strengthening the relations with the UK Embassy. Arman Tatoyan, appreciating the role and the work of UK Embassy, expressed willingness to cooperate in joint projects in the sphere of protection of human rights with the Embassy.
