Torchlight procession starts in Yerevan: Participants burn flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan (video)
Traditional torchlight procession in commemoration of Armenian Genocide victims has launched in Yerevan. Action participants burned the flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan to protest Ankara’s Genocide denial policy and Azerbaijan’s latest aggression on the border with Karabakh. Thousands of Armenians participating in the event are marching to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial, vociferating, “Recognition! Retribution!” They are escorted by police officers. The annual torchlight procession is organized by the Youth Union of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation – Dashnaktsutyun.
