Twenty-seven ceasefire violations reported on Armenia-Azerbaijan border overnight: Azerbaijan uses mortars and grenade launchers
A total of 27 ceasefire violations were registered on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on the night of April 22, this according to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. The Azerbaijani side used various caliber firearms and sniper rifles to open sporadic fire in the direction of Armenian positions. Besides artillery weapons, Azerbaijani armed forces also applied 60mm mortars (6 shots), 80mm mortars (3 shots) and AGS-17 grenade launchers (2 missiles). The Defense Army’s frontline units showed restraint and resorted to retaliatory actions only in case of extreme necessity.
