Mihran Poghosyan tenders his resignation over offshore scandal
Mihran Poghosyan, the head of the Justice Ministry’s Service for the Mandatory Execution of Judicial Acts has announced his resignation on Monday, saying he does not want his name to be connected with the recent global offshore scandal. “I regret that my name appeared next to the name of the family of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, who have embezzled billions of dollars. I consider it unacceptable to become a cause of any civilizational parallel between my country and despotic Azerbaijan, therefore I am tendering my letter of resignation. I will publicly comment on the offshore-related publications as an ordinary citizen, without having any state levers,” Mihran Poghosyan said.
