The Political Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) decided in its April 18 sitting not to discuss any issue related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict ‘as a matter of urgency,’ head of the Armenian delegation to the PACE Hermine Baghdalyan said today. We remind that the agenda of the the Strasbourg-based structure included three issues related to Nagorno-Karabakh. On April 7, head of the French delegation René Rouquet (PS), proposed to discuss in the PACE spring session the latest escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. On April 12, a similar proposal was presented by the Azerbaijani delegates who proposed a discussion on the theme "Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan.” The Armenian delegation presented its proposal on April 13 offering to start a discussion on the theme: "Serious war crimes committed by Azerbaijan during the aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh."
