Hrant Baghratyan proposes authorities to take several steps in political and economic sectors
Armenian lawmaker Hrant Baghratyan has made a Facebook post suggesting Armenian authorities to take several steps. “It is time to assessed the situation and took several steps. A more or less adequate government would care about its country and people and do the following; In the political domain:
- recognize the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic
- withdraw from the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in case Azerbaijan becomes a member of the EEU (how can we benefit from a structure whose three members – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan – we always be against Armenia in all matters )
- hold transparent elections
- organize import and customs clearance of goods at negotiated prices; stop the practice of price controls
- switch to free exchange rate of the Armenian currency
- start negotiations with Iran on gas supply, stop terrorizing Armenians by disseminating false information about gas price reduction
- make a statement regarding the termination of monopolies
- stop taking senseless loans allegedly for the construction of the North-South highway (every time I visit Artsakh I see the "efficiency" of the construction)
- Long-term economic reforms will be implemented by the force that will receive people’s vote of confidence in free and transparent elections
