Irregular shots on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border
On April 13 and 14 overnight in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border the Azerbaijani side made 9 violations and fired irregular shots from weapons of different caliber toward the Armenian positions. The RA Armed forces units, displaying restraint, took retaliatory actions only if strictly necessary and confidently keep the border situation under control. The NKR DA informs, on April 13-14 overnight on the Line of Contact between the opposing forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, no change of the operative situation was registered. In some parts there were violations of the ceasefire agreement reached between the sides orally. In particular, in the northeastern (Martakert) and the southeastern (Hadrut) directions of the front line the adversary fired from 82 mm (1 shell) and 60 mm (11 shells) and automatic grenade launcher (25 shells) toward the Armenian positions. Sabotage penetration attempt was also registered at night. The action initiated by the adversary’s special units at about 04:55 was timely detected by the Armenian troops and was thrown back.
