Stab in our back: Yerevan citizens comment on Russia's 'neutral' stance (video)
Many Armenians are disappointed with Russia's neutral position following the four-day deadly skirmishes along the Line of Contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. Others say the neutral stance of Armenia’s strategic ally [Russia] was predictable for them. “I do not consider Russia to be Armenia’s ally. Russia had its share of guilt during the events of 1915 and also in so-called Operation Koltso (Operation Ring),” said a Yerevan citizen. “It was a stab in our back,” said another respondent.
