Azerbaijan’s statement is misinformation: NKR MOD
Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s statement on unilateral cessation of military operations is misinformation. On April 1-2 overnight the Azerbaijani side started large-scale offensive operations against Nagorno-Karabakh, used almost all types of military equipment existing in its arsenal, what’s more, after the release of the abovementioned statement the adversary shelled the peaceful settlements, in particular at the city of Martakert, from BM-21 (Grad) multiple grenade launcher and 152 mm cannons. The abovementioned data, as well as the use of terms “counteroffensive operations” and “strengthening of the liberated territories” show the false nature of the document, the real aim of which is the imitation of cease-fire. The NKR Defense Army is ready to discuss the proposal on the cessation of fire in the context of the recovery of initial positions. Press service of the NKR MOD
