One civilian injured in shelling
On March 25 and on the night of March 26 at the Line of Contact between the opposing forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan the adversary fired more than 2500 shots from weapons of different caliber toward the Armenian positions. In the northeastern direction of the Line of Contact the Azerbaijani Armed forces also used 60 mm (39 shells) and 82 mm (34 shells) mortars and HAN-17 (48 shells) and RPG-7 (5 shells) grenade launchers. On March 26 at about 07:30-07:40 the adversary fired 45 shells from TR-107 multiple grenade launcher in the southeastern direction of the line of contact in the depth of 5km. As a result of the shelling resident of Taghavard village Yervand Karo Pirumyan (1989) was injured. Details are being clarified. As a result of the punitive actions by the DA vanguard units the attacking activity of the adversary was quelled. The NKR Defense Ministry strictly condemns the escalation of the situation by Azerbaijan and declares that the whole responsibility of the consequences of the current situation rests with the military and political leadership of Azerbaijan.
