Incident in Komitas Pantheon: Why don’t you take the situation under control? (video)
An incident broke out at the Komitas Pantheon this morning. An official delegation led by Serzh Sargsyan visited the Pantheon in the morning to pay tribute to Andranik Margaryan, a former Prime Minister of Armenia who died unexpectedly on March 25 2007. The delegation included Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, Vice President of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Chief of the Presidential Staff Vigen Sargsyan and many others. After putting flowers at Margaryan’s tomb the officials were about the leave the Pantheon when an elderly citizen approached them and began shouting, “Mr President, how long will our rights be violated? How long will this permissiveness last? Why don’t you take the situation under control?”
