Citizens taken to the police station from Mashtots Park (video)
15:29 At the moment a member of the Founding Parliament Karo Yeghnukyan is in the police central department. “During the scuffle with the police officers I was trying to help my wife, at that moment I was taken to the police station,” he told “A1+”. Mr. Yeghnukyan refuses to give any explanation in the police station. To remind, during the action at Mashtots Park the police officer hit Karo Yeghnukyan’s wife Naira Yeghnukyan. The latter is a member of “Front of Armenian Women”. Mr Yeghnukyan informed that her wife’s head was bleeding, she was being transferred to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center (Masiv hospital). “Soon I will be released, I will go there,” said Mr Yeghnukyan. 15:07 14 citizens have been taken to police station from Mashtots Avenue including Syuzi Gevorgyan, who has been recently detained and released over armed gang's case, members of “New Armenia” Karo Yeghnukyan, Gagik Yeghiazaryan and Hovhannes Ghazaryan. 14:30 “New Armenia” is staging protest action at Mashtots Park in support of Gevorg Safaryan.
