Armenian opera singer Gegham Grigoryan dies at 65
Prominent Armenian opera singer Gegham Grigoryan died Wednesday at the age of 65, the Armenian culture ministry’s pres office reported. Grigoryan was a stage manager and art director of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Honored Artist of the Lithuanian SSR, People's Artist of the USSR, a recipient of "Movses Khorenatsi" and "Service to Motherland" medals. A governmental commission will be set up to organize the funeral of the renowned tenor.
