Moscow nanny shouting Islamic slogans takes decapitated child's head to Metro station (video)
Police in Russia have arrested a nanny who decapitated a child and took the severed head to Moscow metro station. The woman claimed to be an Islamic terrorist but police said she might suffer from mental issues. The niqab-clad woman is shown in footage holding the child’s head aloft near the Oktyabrskoye Pole (October Field) metro station in northwest Moscow. Holding the child’s head in her hand, the woman shouted “Allah Akbar” and threatened to blow herself up. A large number of police vehicles were deployed to the scene but didn't immediately intervene amid fears she might be wearing a suicide vest. The station was shut down as police searched for possible explosive devices. The woman was eventually overpowered by a policeman, who could be seen tackling her to the ground alone before receiving back up by colleagues in footage uploaded online. Moscow’s Investigative Committee said in a statement: "According to preliminary information, the child's nanny, a citizen of one of the Central Asian states born in 1977, waited for the parents and elder child to leave the flat and then, for reasons not established, murdered the infant, set the flat alight and left the scene.”
