New Armenia: Two activists detained for throwing eggs at the building of Prosecutor's Office
The New Armenia Public Salvation Font has issued a statement saying two activists were detained today during an action near the Office of Prosecutor General. “At around 7.20 p.m., plainclothes police officers detained Varazdat Barseghyan and Paylak Tevanyan who were participating in an action in support of jailed civil activist Gevorg Safaryan and drove them in private cars. The two activists were detained for throwing eggs at the building of Prosecutor's Office. Varazdat Barseghyan and Paylak Tevanyan are being held at the s, the Kentron Police Division," the opposition group said in a statement.
