Azerbaijan fired 3,500 shots in one week
The Defense Ministry of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reports that Azerbaijan fired some 3,500 rounds across the Line of Contact between January 24 and 30. The Ministry says Azerbaijani troops fired from different weapons, including 60- and 80 mm mortars, RPG-7 and HAN-17 grenade launchers. The Ministry also reports its forces repelled an attempt of “sabotage-reconnaissance” infiltration by Azerbaijan along the eastern region of the border early in the morning hours on January 26, at around 04:30 am. Karabakh frontline troops timely spotted the advancement of Azerbaijani troops and pushed them back to the initial positions. No Armenian soldiers were wounded in the incident.
