Anti-Armenian draft resolution on Sarsang reservoir was adopted. “The inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deprived of water” draft resolution mustn’t be adopted today, it must be amended, offered Armenian delegate Armen Rustamyan to the PACE delegates before the voting and reminded that the author of the resolution hasn’t been in Armenia. The author of the resolution MP from Bosnia and Herzegovina Milica Markovic announced that she had tried, but the Armenian side hadn’t organized a visit. She considers the adoption of the resolution to be a sign to help the local inhabitants. To note, during the discussion Azerbaijani MP Rafael Huseynov highlighted the importance of adopting the resolution and announced that, as if the Armenian side poisons the river using various means including nuclear weapon forgetting to note that the Armenian side uses the same water. The resolution was put to a vote and adopted. 98 voted in favor, 71 against and 40 abstained. To remind, earlier “The increase of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and other occupied territories of Azerbaijan” draft resolution had been put to a vote and failed.
