Levon Zurabyan: Serzh Sargsyan will try to retain his power in three ways (video)
The new Constitution does not terrify the radical opposition any longer. Talking to reporters in Yerevan, Levon Zurabyan, Head of the Armenian Nationa Congress (HAK) faction, said, “No matter how much I refuse it, saying it is inefficient and bad for the Republic of Armenia, I agree that this system is more beneficial in terms of depriving Serzh Sargsyan of his power.” Levon Zurabyan says Serzh Sargsyan has chosen the option of retaining power at any cost. However, that man is not sitting in a chair with his arms crossed. He is going to keep his power in three ways. “First, he will work quietly opening the way to power in a legitimate way. Second, he will try to bring the opposition under control and finally, he will do his best to win the 2017 elections without drawing the attention of the international community to the election and receiving congratulations by the controllable opposition.” “Sargsyan failed in his plans to pave the way to power through a ‘quite, legitimate’ referendum. No one recognised the constitutional referendum as legitimate,” Mr Zurabyan added.
