President of “Homeland and Honor” party arrested
According to the number 58216515 criminal case investigated at the investigative department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, according to the order set in Article 129 of the RA Criminal Procedure Code, on 14.01.2016 President of “Homeland and Honor” party Garnik Gevorg Margaryan and major shareholder of “Sport Shoes Factory of Yeghvard” OJSC Vladimir Paylak Arakelyan have been detained on suspicion of membership to the criminal gang created by Arthur Vardanyan, carrying out weapons and ammunition in the frames of the gang according to the 2nd part of Article 223 and 3rd part of Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code. The apartments of the abovementioned persons and “Sport Shoes Factory of Yeghvard” OJSC have been searched, and all the necessary measures have been taken to ensure completeness, comprehensiveness and objectiveness of the case.
