Armenian soldier killed by Azerbaijani sniper
The relatively calm situation along the Line of Contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces was broken today as a result of provocative actions by the Azerbaijani armed forces. At 1:00, soldier Karen Akulyan, an Armenian soldier serving at a northern military outpost of the Karabakh Defense Army, was killed by an Azerbaijani sniper. An investigation is under way. The NKR Defense Ministry offers its condolences to the family and friends of the killed soldier.
