28 lifers again start hunger strike
28 lifers in Nubarashen prison started open-ended hunger strike on December 14 in the evening. The applications of restarting the hunger strike had also been submitted to the administration of Nubarashen prison. Gor Ghlechyan, spokesman for the Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Department told A1+ and noted, “Currently they have no health problems.” The demands of the lifers are the same; revision of their criminal cases. To note, the lifers informed about hunger strike still in October and stopped it in November. They also sent a letter to Baghramyan 26, which was later readdressed to the Ministry of Justice.
