New Armenia says police detained a sit-in participant
The joint opposition headquarters of the New Armenia Public Salvation Front says one of the participants of the sit-in held at Liberty Square against the ‘rigged constitutional referendum’ has been detained on Monday. “Some time ago, police detained Aram Tarverdyan for displaying a picture of activist Hayk Kyureghyan, who has been staging a hunger strike for 27 day. We demand that the police present the grounds for detention and immediately release Aram Tarverdyan.
