One Armenian serviceman killed

The situation remains tense at the front line. The adversary continues firing from mortars and anti-aircraft cannons. On the night of December 12, the adversary violated the ceasefire regime along the Line of Contact between the opposing forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan about 120 times. During that period, the adversary fired more than 1100 shots in the direction of Armenian positions from weapons of different caliber including 60mm (11 shells), 82 mm (66 shells) and 120 mm (14shells) mortars and HAN-17 (16 shells) grenade launcher. The adversary also used ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft cannon (35 shells). On December 11 at about 20:40 one Armenian serviceman, Karen Armen Grigoryan (born in 1995) was fatally wounded by an Azerbaijani sniper in one of the military units stationed in the eastern direction of the Defense Army. Investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the deadly incident. The NKR Defense Ministry shares the grief of the heavy loss and extends condolences to the family, friends and fellow servicemen of the killed soldier. The NKR Defense Ministry announces that the provocative actions of the adversary will not remain unpunished. The whole responsibility of the current situation rests with the military and political leadership of Azerbaijan.
