Azeri infiltration attempt rebuffed: One Armenian soldier killed
An Azerbaijani sabotage-reconnaissance unit attempted to infiltrate into the north-eastern section of the Line of Contact, at 4:30am, on December 4. The frontline units of the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) timely spotted the Azerbaijani commando unit and threw them back, causing losses. Regrettably, Armenian soldier Erik E. Grigoryan (born 1995) was killed in the skirmish. An investigation into the incident is under way. The NKR Ministry of Defense extends condolences to the family, relatives, friends and companions-in-arms of the killed soldier.
