We have visited at least 50 communities, there is famine everywhere, says "No" campaigner (video)
“We have visited at least 50 communities. There is mass famine and starvation everywhere,” Armen Mkrtchyan from the “No” camp said during a meeting with residents of Martuni city. He reminded everyone that they have no reason for saying “Yes” to Serzh Sargsyan’s constitution. “Today the government already admits that they have rigged all elections in the country. If they admit the fact, they must be tried for rigging elections but as you see they remain unpunished. No one is sued and no one is beheaded,” Mr Mkrtchyan said. Mikael Melkumyan from the “Yes” camp informed the locals that the Constitution is being changed by Serzh Sargsyan. “The president of the country clearly pictures the risks with their depth, width and height and imagines what might happen if things continue in the same way,” he said. Speaking about the possible change of power through a revolution, Mr Melkumyan said the government will not allow it to happen as ‘we have the problem of Artsakh.’ “The authorities who keep our borders safe will not allow demonstrators to pressurize them from the street,” the lawmaker said.
