During the meeting with residents of Tatev community in Syunik Marz, Tamara Gevorgyan asked the group, “You do not have confidence [in the draft constitution], do you?” “No, we do not have,” the villagers said unanimously. “I guess you got tired of both teams because nothing has changed in your lives,” Tamara Gevorgyan said. Hrayr Tovmasyan, an expert in constitutional law, interrupted their conversation. Residents asked him whether he is a supporter of “Yes.” “I drafted the new constitution,” Tovmasyan said with a smile on his face. “How will the new constitution change our lives?” people asked another question. “We shall not wake up on December 7 and discover that we have a strong economy. We shall not be happy and villages will not have gas. I shall try to explain in the following way: you ask me whether that Soviet-made Zaporozhets can take you to Goris every day and then take you back. I say, perhaps it can,” Mr Tovmasyan said. In the meantime, Karine Achemyan was talking to schoolboys. “We are solving the issue of governance. This means that we are working more productively. You cannot vote but you can insist on your rights,” she advised the boys.
