Inaccuracies on Voter Lists: Data provided by Police and NSS do not match (video)
On November 11, the Media Center held a debate entitled “Inaccurate Voter Lists: A Justified Alarm or Miscalculation?” The speakers at the studio were Mnatsakan Bichakhchyan, Head of the Passport and Visa Department of the Police, and Artur Sakunts, Head of HCA Vanadzor. “What do we understand by saying the permanent population? Is this the main problem? According to the National Statistical Service, in 2015 the number of permanent residents in Armenia stood at 3 010 600, with people under 18 making up 25-30 percent of it. Whereas the Police say 3 317 965 people are included in the State Register,” Artur Sakunts said.
