Armenian Parliament today passed a number of bills, including the bill on amending the Law on the Central Bank, which allows the CB to have another Vice-Chairman. The bill was adopted by 68 votes to 5, with 31 abstentions. Before the vote, Tigran Urikhanyan of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) faction, said yesterday Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, Tigran Javadyan, told a lie when he said that his deputy – Nerses Yeritsyan – receives a monthly salary of AMD 1 300 000. “In fact, Yeritsyan’s salary amounts to 2 million drams,” Urikhanyan said.
