Hrant Baghratyan: The child is the fruit of love
During the discussion of the draft budget 2016 in the Armenian parliament, lawmaker Hovhannes Margaryan spokes about the expected increase in births in 2016. The lawmaker of the Country of Law Party (OEK) asked whether child care benefits will also increase with the birth of each child. Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan said he did not think the sum of the money would have a big impact in terms of demographics. “Can we promote birthrate by increasing allowance by 100 000 drams? I do not think so. The money is only an additional support and we need not overestimate its role,” he said. “Well, I always knew that the child is the fruit of love,” said opposition lawmaker Hrant Baghratyan.
