After the planned sitting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, journalists asked Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission about the fate of the Electric Networks of Armenia and electricity tariffs. PSRC Chairman Robert Nazaryan said we did not feel a water shortage this year and if the situation remains unchanged electricity prices will likely remain the same. He added that the second phase of the monitoring is drawing to an end and the results will be posted on the PSRC’s website next week. Mr Nazaryan added that he had never met the new director of the ENA, Samvel Karapetyan. “The Electric Networks of Armenia has developed an anti-crisis program but i am not aware of it. As soon as they publish it, we shall get acquainted with the program.” Nor was the PSRC Chairman aware of the results of the audit. “As soon as it finishes, we shall all analyze the results and try to find out the drawbacks and shortcomings. The proposals that will be made by the Company with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the ENA will be discussed jointly and included in the action plan,” he said.
