The exhibition of works of more than thirty Armenian and Japanese artists is open for the public. The exhibition of works, which has been organized since 2006, this year is being carried out on the occasion of opening the Embassy of Japan in Armenia. “The exhibition of Armenian and Japanese artists is of great importance as the powerful art of two peoples is presented under one roof. We both are old nations and we have deep and beautiful culture. Very often we see pictures side by side and have difficulty in differentiating the nationality of an artist,” artist Armine Tumanyan told “A1+”. According to the artist, every time Japanese artists arriving in Armenia describe Armenia in different ways, “Every year they see progress, most often they highlight the warmth and attitude of our people.” According to the assessment of art critic Ara Haytayan, one of the initiators of the exhibition, it is a good opportunity for Armenia to overcome the isolation, “Japanese culture has the nature that only the contact gives opportunities of transformation and in terms of this it is an opportunity to look at us from different angle,” he adds.
