Involvement of CC Chairman Gagik Harutyunyan in the drafting of the amended constitution was not prohibited by law. Mikael Melkumyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), would not like to evaluate the activities of his professor of macroeconomics. Can he say that the CC Chairman has been engaged in politics in recent years? Armenia is a highly politicized country. I cannot say that Mr Harutyunyan was formally engaged in political but I must say that he is an influential figure. His influence was especially felt in recent years,” he said.
