Electric Networks of Armenia has new director
Karen Harutyunyan has been appointed director of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA). The company’s spokesperson, Natalya Sarjanyan, confirmed the information when talking to A1+. “Mr Harutyunyan today came to the company and met with employees,” she said. The newly appointed director has extensive experience in working in the energy sector. “Karen Harutyunyan worked at the Electric Networks of Armenia years ago and is a man of field,” she added. In reply to the question whether the former Director General of the company, Yevgeny Bibin, had left Armenia, Natalya Sarjanyan said, “Mr Bibin is still here.” He will continue to work at the Inter RAO Company. On September 30, the Tashir Group and Inter RAO have signed an agreement for the sale and purchase of electric energy assets in Armenia. The deal was approved by the Armenian government. Today, the President of Tashir Group, Samvel Karapetyan, made an announcement saying they are going to reduce the company’s expenses to avoid increase in electricity tariffs in the future.
